Adolescent Life-Course Contextualism
1982 - 1988
During 1982-1988, adolescent delinquency and risk behavior were reframed through a life-course, context-aware lens. Longitudinal, population-based research highlighted how neighborhood, family, peer networks, and school environments shape trajectories of delinquency and substance use. Methodologically, growing use of multi-level designs and attention to measurement validity advanced integrated understanding and prevention-oriented insights.
